Preparations for Take-Off

41 days until Zach and I are on our way to Arusha. There have been many bumps in the road, and we are both nervous and excited, but ready to embark on our journey to Tanzania. It seems that we have been so busy with preparations like packing, immunizations, attempting Swahili, health insurance, housing, etc., etc., etc. that we haven't had much time to prepare mentally, yet I don't really even know where we would start. Although we have both been testing and counseling for HIV/AIDS here in the states, the results of those tests have varied greatly from the results we will be giving in Tanzania. I am thankful that we will have each other to cope with the difficult tasks ahead, and can only hope that we will grow and learn from our experiences there. Time will only tell.
